More Colorado Puppies!!

No Description

Well folks, he did it again!!! On Monday June 2, 2008 four more puppies were flown in from Alamosa Colorado.  At the time, two of the puppies were already spoken for. "Blanca", was the only female (a golden retriever mix). She went to a nice home in North Kingstown. "Aspen" (an Aussie mix) went to a nice home in Jamestown. That left us with two more puppies to find forever homes for.  About four weeks after being at NAH, we found homes for both "Rio" (a black terrier mix) and "Denver" (a black and tan shepherd mix). Read about each of these adorable puppies and their new families below.

Rio:

No DescriptionRio is a male terrier mix.  He is all black with a little bit of grey on his face. He looks like a little old man.   Although he loves playing with his friend "Denver", Rio is very people oriented and loves to be held. Every one at the Animal Hospital fights over who gets to snuggle with the little guy.  Rio went to a wonderful couple who recently lost their dog due to illness. He is presently traveling down south with his parents, but will be back to see his NAH family.

Denver:

No DescriptionDenver, is a male black and tan shepherd mix.  He is constantly playing with toys and getting into mischief.  Denver loves to play with other dogs.  Because of that, we thought that Denver would do great in a home with another dog.  But he also has a sweet side to him.  Denver will follow the staff around the hospital waiting for us to pick him up.  Denver, now Remi, found a home with an amazing couple right here in Newport.  He will have plenty of doggie friends to play with, and get to enjoy the beach!!!

BLANCA:

Blanca, now "Sandy", was the only girl of the group. She is a blonde Golden Retriever mix. Sandy can be best described as a DIVA!!! She is very good at letting you know what she wants. Sandy will cry if she would like to play or be held. Mostly she likes to play and run around picking on the boys. Sandy went to a wonderful home in North Kingstown, where we are sure she is running the house and being treated like the princess she is.

Aspen:
Aspen, now "Logan", was the first of the boys to go home. Logan is a freckled-face Aussie mix, who melted the hearts of the entire staff. He was definitely the cuddly puppy of the group. Logan is very mellow and enjoys being on a lap instead of playing with the others.  It is no surprise that we were all very sad to see him go.  Logan went to a wonderful family in Jamestown. They are working on making him a therapy dog so that every one can enjoy his sweet nature. We have no doubts that he will be the best therapy dog out there.
