Guinness & Booker
These handsome dogs belong to one of our veterinarians, Dr. Kaczmarek. Guinness is a 10 years young chocolate Lab and Booker is an 8 years young Vizsla! Since moving to RI from Texas they have truly been embracing the New England lifestyle! They enjoy hiking in the woods, swimming at the beach, and watching the horses at Polo matches.

Buddy, Jethro & Noodle
Kat, one of our boarding assistants, has quite the variety of pets! Buddy is a lab/shepherd mix rescued from the pound 13 years ago. He likes playing football and running around in the yard. Jet is a 14 year old Quarter Horse who has been Kat's riding pal for 8 years. He is afraid of chipmunks and birds, but loves giving kisses and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Noodle is the newest addition to the family, and she likes to run around the house and climb into spaces where Kat can't find her!

"Pigs" & Abel
This group of friendly furballs belongs to Katharine, one of our techs! From left to right is Aurora, Linus, Clementine, Beatrice, and Jemima.
All members of the herd were rescued from inappropriate or abusive homes
and are living the high life all together in their huge cage. They
enjoy running laps, snuggling with each other, hiding in large piles of
hay, and eating vegetables!
Abel is a very active Catahoula Leopard Dog that was adopted from
Missouri where he was picked up as a stray. His best friend in the whole
world is Scruffy Walsh, he loves to play tug and snuggle with her. He
also loves chasing squirrels, smiling at his friends, going exploring in
the woods, riding in the car with the window down, and is an avid long
distance runner. Abel was voted Aquidneck Island's 2011 Most Handsome
Face, and says in response "I'm very flattered and will go for the gold
again next year"!

Hannah & Lucy
Katie, one of our technicians, is the proud mother of Hannah and Lucy! Hannah is a 3yr old lab mix who was adopted from a rescue and brought up
to NE on a transport from Tennessee. She loves playing with her friends,
going on walks in downtown Newport, and taking naps- either in the sun
or curled up in as many blankets as possible.
Lucy is a 10yr DSH just adopted last year. Though she is an older
lady she is still a kitten at heart and loves nothing more then to play
with her mouse toy or shoe laces (as you are trying to tie
them!). And of course, as any cat loves to do, she then curls up and falls
asleep.

Turkey, Luke & Max
These fine fellas belong to Becky, our Receptionist Supervisor. Turkey grows his gray ear tufties in the spring and sheds them in the
fall. He insists on kneading your stomach after any meal. He is a
friendly, easy going, big fella with the tiniest silent "meow". Luke and Max are brothers who couldn't be more different. Luke greets
every guest with a loud "woof" and a complete sniffing while Max is
afraid of toys that squeak. Still they are rarely
ever apart. Max always waits patiently for his brother to slowly climb
up the deck stairs, before going back into the house side by side.
Dewey
Dewey, a "cavapoo," belongs to one of our veterinarians, Dr. Wirth! This adorable 2 year old pup enjoys chasing squirrels and "playing" with his feline friends, Kiwi and Mango.

Jake
Sarah, one of our vet techs, is the proud owner of this cutie, a 5 year old Labrador Retriever. Jake enjoys eating socks, swimming, hiking, and playing with his friends. He hopes to persuade his mom to get another dog soon, so he can have a live-in playmate!

Yoshi
Yoshi, a 7 year old Daschund, rules the home of one of our vet techs, Andrew. He
enjoys laying in the sun, playing tug-of-war, and getting into the
trash. Yoshi has a part-time job protecting rawhides, but normally he
just eats them.
Herbie
Herbie is the housemate of one of our techs, Katie. He loves to watch TV by the candlelight. Bloodworms are his favorite treat. He loves flirting with just about any finger that comes along and makes great bubble nests!

Riley
Riley, owned by our receptionist Danielle, is a 6 month old Golden Retriever, who likes to spend as much time
as he can running along the beach, chasing birds and playing on slides.
When not enjoying various outdoor activities you can find him playing
with his favorite squeaky frog or on the lookout for his arch-nemesis,
the vacuum!
