Clinic Manager

Outi became a member of the Newport Animal Hospital team in 1999.  She is originally from Finland and prior to moving to Newport she worked with top-level show jumpers in Southampton, NY and Wellington, FL.  As the Clinic Manager she makes customer service her top priority in addition to helping our clients feel at home while receiving the best medical care for their pets.  Outi also enjoys horseback riding and yoga.

Senior Outpatient Staff Supervisor

Jackie has been a member of the NAH team since 2005. After receiving a B.A. in Psychology from Roger Williams University, Jackie decided to explore a career which focused on her love for animals. The compassion, dedication and amazing care she gives to every pet and every client lead her to the position of outpatient supervisor.  In addition to her duties as a supervisor, Jackie's interests include surgical procedures, dentistry, client education, and her favorite breed, the Golden Retriever!  Jackie currently lives in Fall River with her cat "Goliath" and her Puggle "Laney".

Outpatient Staff Supervisor & CVT

Melissa began working as a technician at NAH in the summer of 2000. After receiving a B.S in Biology from Hood College, Melissa decided to further her career as a tech and chose to pursue an education in veterinary technology. She received her certification from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Colorado. Upon receiving her certification, she returned to RI. Her interests include emergency medicine and orthopedic surgery.  Melissa has been dreaming of working in this field since she was 5yrs old.  Her friendly home in Newport includes two Boston / French Bulldogs (Brunchies!) named "Ramona" and "Lulu".

Senior Inpatient Supervisor
Tony has been a member of the NAH team since 2005. Tony attended the University of Rhode Island, where he received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. His interests in animal health led him to a position here at NAH. Tony's occupational interests include preventative medicine, client education and, (of course) inpatient care. Tony shows a passion for learning new skills and is excellent with animal care and restraint. He has excelled at every aspect of his job at NAH, and his efforts have made him a valued member of our surgical team!





Assistant Clinic Manager
Andrew began work as a technician at NAH in the spring of 2010.  After receiving a degree in Biology from the University of Rhode Island in 2006, he accepted a position with the Department of Environmental Management collecting and monitoring mosquito populations for disease.  However, Andrew could not resist working with the furrier side of the animal kingdom and pursued a career in the veterinary field.  He enjoys educating our clients and loves the extra time he is able to spend with each one working at our clinics.  Andrew currently lives in Middletown with his wife and their Daschund, "Yoshi".



Inpatient Supervisor

Originally from Warren RI, Mike started working for the Newport Animal Hospital in January of 2010. Mike attended classes at URI, where he earned a B.A. in Animal Veterinary Science and Technolo
gy. He applied for a position at NAH because of his love for working with animals. When he began his career, Mike was very interested in surgery and emergency animal medicine. His interest and devotion to these areas ultimately earned him the position of Inpatient Supervisor in 2014. He currently lives in Tiverton with his wife, son Michael and daughter Julia, a Shepherd/Husky mix named "Mickey" and some fish.
